Tax Dates for 2012  February 2, 9, 16, 23

AARP Tax Assistants will be at the Senior Center every Thursday in

February. Appointments start at 9:00 am with the last appointment

of the day at 3:00 pm. Appointments are a half hour in duration.

Basic tax returns only. No farms, rental property, estate or compli&

cated returns will be accepted. These appointment times fill up fast so make yours today. Appointments are free, but donations to

AARP Tax Assistance Program will be accepted. Please have all

forms that are applicable, including but not limited to Social Security statements, W2’s, last year’s taxes, rent certificate, etc.

If you, your family or friends are a member of the online social network Facebook please search for the Verona Senior Center and "like" our page. This will keep you up to date on VSC activities. See photos of you or your friends participating in events at the Senior Center. There will be a drawing in the near future from those who "like" the Senior Center business page. Keep an eye out for updates about the drawing on the Verona Senior Center business page on Facebook.

For doctor appointments outside of Verona you must call two days in advance, and a volunteer driver will be found to take you to your appointment.  Donations are to be directed to RSVP.  Drivers cannot accept payment or tips.  If you must cancel a ride please do so as soon as possible to free up the volunteer driver’s time. And always remember to thank your driver!

VAN:  10:00 am—2:00 pm., Mon—Fri for transportation in Verona only.   Call the Senior Center, 845-7471, to schedule your ride.  The van is equipped with a lift to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.

• Other Verona Destinations  $2
• Madison Shopping               $4

Charges will vary for special events.  Payments are to be made directly to the driver.
